Instagram Releases New Insider Magazine Explores Emerging Platform Trends
Instagram has released the third edition of its digital magazine ‘Instagram Insider’, which examines emerging trends based on platform engagement and provides tips and ideas to help guide your strategic approach.
The Fall edition of Instagram Insider examines seasonal changes among users, which take on a more optimistic tone.
As explained by Instagram:
“This year’s fall trends reflect the past 18 months with an increased respect for nature and art, personal identity and pageantry. A year of long walks and hikes can be seen in the evolving Gorpcore aesthetic. The added appreciation for everything that’s just plain happy (a trend we call “C’Mon Get Happy”) is reflected in the vibrant colors and bold patterns in everything from tops and nails to tableware. “
Certainly, bright colors are a key element among the trends.
Note the ability to scan a barcode and explore the topic on your own in the app, connecting the magazine directly to purchasable articles and clips.
The examples provide great advice for evolving your IG strategy, while Instagram also includes fashion month notes and key emerging designers to follow for unique perspectives on different fashion events.
There’s also the Q and A section of Instagram, where she seeks to answer common questions regarding the use of the platform, with this month’s segment primarily focused on the reels.
There is no major reveal or strategic idea here, although Instagram notes that the Reels algorithm favors “smaller creators.”
It’s also worth noting Instagram’s advice that users should re-share their stories reels and main feed. Which makes sense, but Instagram is also actively trying to prevent users from re-sharing news feed posts to Stories.
No such concerns with Reels, of course.
Instagram’s Insider magazines provide interesting information on the latest trends, which can help guide your marketing approach, while the tips sections provide additional information on its algorithms and what it is looking to focus on at a time. given.
