Exciting announcement to all !!! I just signed a major deal with Abrams for a new series of interactive graphic novels called ADVENTUREGAME COMICS. The first book, LEVIATHAN, comes out this summer 2022, with a new book every summer for the next 3 years.
Jason shiga tweeted the news, saying “LEVIATHAN is a bit of a mashup of my favorite ’80s media: Fighting Fantasy game books, comics, text adventure games, Legend of Zelda. I don’t want to give the story too much out so I’ll just go. let’s say it’s set in an old medieval village terrorized by a giant sea monster. The story begins as a leisurely exploration of the town and surrounding islands, but ends up picking up speed. On the formal side, I introduce new ways to “win” sections of the story. There is a day / night mechanic that I’m particularly proud of. But I’m more excited about the finale where the reader uses their imagination rather than choosing from a list of choices. Difficult to describe but you’ll see for yourself. I can’t wait to talk to you about it. Cover reveal and pre-order announcement and more to come! “
