The debut novel by author and journalist Randee Dawn, Tune in tomorrow, looks like the perfect escape read for summer 2022. Dawn combines our reality TV-saturated landscape with the dazzling enchantment of a fantasy realm. The latest drama Love is blind can’t hold a candle to a reality TV show filmed at the Fae’s request.

As a seasoned entertainment journalist, Dawn is uniquely positioned to shed light on how the industry works behind the scenes while transporting readers to a distant place: the world of tomorrow. Here’s a first look at Head Design’s eye-catching cover for Solaris/Rebellion Publishing:

And here’s what awaits readers in Tune in tomorrow:

She’s just a small town girl, with big mythical dreams. Starr Weatherby came to New York to be… well, a star. But after ten years and with no luck, she’s offered a big role – on a show no one’s ever heard of. And there is a reason for that. It is a spectacle of “reality” beyond the Veil, a human drama, performed for the entertainment of the Fae. But as Starr goes from stunned newcomer to rising fan favorite, she uncovers the dark underbelly of the show and the mysterious disappearance of its predecessor. She’ll do whatever it takes to keep her dream job – even if she just might knock the show off the hook.process.

“Tune in tomorrow is a book filled with some of the things that make me happiest: TV, misbehaving divas, being torn between two lovers, fantastical creatures and mangoes. Yes, mangoes,” Dawn said when Solaris acquired the novel. “I’ve spent many years peeking behind the tattered curtain of the entertainment industry, and it’s almost as magical and quirky as the world of Tomorrow.” We look forward to visiting.
